Why is it good for Students?
VC Poker has a big involvement with the Student Poker community, as it hosts regular competitions aimed at the University Student player, such as the VC Student Poker Championships that take place annually and offer big monetary prizes to the players that finish top. This tournament never fails to attract hundreds of Student poker players looking to strike it lucky at the tables, and so it is a very big event in the Student Poker calendar. Therefore it makes good sense to join a room that is dedicated to providing a great playing experience as well as solid promotions and offers for every Student player.

VC Poker is actually part of the same network as Titan Poker, which means that both of these rooms will share the same software as well as the same traffic. So you should expect to see the same number of bad players as well as a multitude of low stakes tables on offer for new players to practice at as they look to improve their game. Therefore as you can expect, both of these rooms receive the same rankings in the Software, Traffic and Competition departments. The only reason why we rank VC Poker a little lower than Titan Poker is because Titan offers a better bonus and has a better colour scheme, but overall VC Poker is a fantastic poker room that is well worth signing up for if you already had a Titan account or are looking to take advantage of the free $10 no deposit bonus.

Software - 93%
As already mentioned, VC Poker shares the same software as Titan. Therefore you should expect some very quick loading times and some very smooth game play. The software is very feature-intensive and offers a lot of in-game features to help improve your online poker experience. You are able to modify the deck so that instead of having clubs and spades as black, with diamonds and hearts as red, you have the opportunity to change diamonds to blue and clubs to green. This helps to prevent confusion between the two suits such as mistakenly believing that you have a flush when in real fact you do not (it happens to the best of us!).

The best feature available on this software is the 'Hand History' window that you can call up to look at and analyze previous hands that you have played in your current sessions. This feature is incredibly handy, as it allows you to look up previous hands to try and figure out where you might be playing badly, or where your opponents may be making mistakes so that you can exploit them in future hands. This is a great tool for helping you to improve your overall poker game as well as finding holes in your opponent's game to help maximize your wins against them.

Graphics - 91%
Although the colour scheme at VC Poker is pretty cool, we slightly prefer the blue colours that can be found at Titan Poker. Obviously this is just personal preference and so the rankings are based on our own opinions, and you may well feel that your prefer the look that comes with VC Poker. But overall both of the styles are great and work well to create a great poker vibe whilst you play your cards at the tables.

The table layout is good, as it allows you to clearly see the action at the table as it progresses from hand to hand. The lobby is also well designed, as it makes it simple for you to navigate between all of the games and stakes on offer. You are also provided with key statistics on the tables such as the average pot size along with the percentage of players that see a flop on average, which should help you to choose between some of the softer tables available.

Traffic - 94%
Seeing as Titan and VC Poker share the same players, the traffic is exactly the same at all times. Although these rooms do not currently accept US players, they receive a high volume of traffic from European players and from other players outside of the US. There is plenty of traffic at all times of the day, so you should never encounter any problems with finding action at any of the games and stakes on offer.

Competition - 95%
As with the traffic, the level of competition is the same as with Titan Poker. The competition is far softer at VC Poker than at most other online poker rooms. Therefore it makes it a great destination for players that are still learning the game, as they are not going to lose as much money as they would if they were playing against advanced players. In addition, it is great for the more experienced player to take advantage of the poor players and increase their winnings in each of the sessions they play. I have found that the softest games are in the 1c/2c to 10c/20c range, which is the targeted area for most student players.

Bonus - 88%
If you are making your first deposit at VC Poker, you are eligible to receive a 300% up to $600 deposit bonus or an alternative free $10 + $25 bonus.

1] 300% up to $600 bonus

With this bonus you can receive a bonus amount equal to three times the size of your first deposit, which can then be redeemed through play at the real money tables. So for example, if you make a deposit of $50, you will receive $150 in your bonus account. To be able to receive this bonus, simply enter the bonus code 'VALUE600' when making your first deposit. The bonus amount must then be redeemed within 60 days or it will be cleared from your bonus account. Minimum deposit of $25.

You will be eligible to receive $1 of bonus for every 60 'Action Points' you accumulate. However, the bonus itself is released in $5 increments. So you will receive $5 every time you collect 300 action points, which means that you do not have to redeem the full amount of the bonus as you can pick up $5 here and there after so many hours of play.

2] Free $10 + $25 bonus

Alternatively, you can choose the free $10 + $25 bonus using the bonus code 'FreeMoney' in the cashier after signing-up. With this bonus, you will receive $10 into your account after sign-up, which can then be played with at the real money tables. No deposit is required to receive this bonus. The following $25 can be redeemed by the same conditions as above, with you needing to accumulate 300 action points for every $5 of bonus. The following bonus amount must be redeemed within 45 days, otherwise the bonus money will be forfeit.

Visit the free VC Poker bonus money page for more details.

This bonus option is similar to the free $25 being offered by Titan Poker. However, the difference being that VC Poker gives a smaller $10 to start with, whereas Titan gives you a full $25 to take to the tables. However, Titan Poker requires you to make a deposit to obtain the free bonus, whereas VC Poker does not. All you have to do to receive the free starting $10 at VC Poker is sign up, and enter the bonus code 'FreeMoney' in the cashier area.
