HOW TO MAKE A DEPOSIT AT AN ONLINE POKER ROOM

StudentPokerPro.com

Making a real money deposit for the first time at an online poker room can be a bit of a nervy experience, which is why this article is here to help highlight how simple and safe it is to fund your account so that you can start winning some money. Your money and banking details are completely safe at all of the rooms of the site, so there is no need to fear that any of your money in your poker or bank account will go missing overnight. The following guide has been made for the Titan Poker room, but just as with signing up for an account, the whole process is pretty similar for all of the online rooms.

Step 1
The first step to making a deposit is clicking on the cashier button in the bottom left hand corner of the lobby window. The button is not always situated here for each room, but it is always pretty visible.

Step 2
You will now be shown a list of options that you have to deposit money into your online account. The two most popular methods of deposit are through debit/credit card deposit and online wallet deposits. An online wallet is pretty much exactly how it is described; it is an online account that you can fund (just like Paypal) and use to distribute money to online poker rooms. It is unlikely that many players reading this will have signed up for an online wallet yet, so we will take the easiest and popular route of depositing with our debit card.

Step 3
We are now taken to another window asking us how much we would like to deposit. However, we must first register our card with the room by clicking the ‘register new credit card’ button in the middle. Although it mentions ‘credit card’, you are perfectly fine to make a deposit with a regular debit card like I am going to do.

Step 4
A new window will now appear asking us all the important details of our card. This is to make sure that you are the real owner of the card, so make sure that you put down all of the correct details so that the room accepts the card. Do not worry about disclosing such information to the room, as they are only asking this information to keep everything running safely and protect people from having the cards used by others without permission.

After typing in all of your details and clicking ‘register’, a window should pop up saying that the card was registered successfully. If there are any problems, make sure to read over the information you put down and correct any mistakes that you may have made. If you still cannot register your card, you should contact support.

Step 5
After registering our card, you should make your way back to the credit/debit card deposit window that we came to before. We can now select the card that we have just registered and put down how much we would like to deposit. You are also asked to provide your card’s CC2 number, which is the last 3 digits of the number on the back.

It should be noted that the deposit amount is in dollars, and this will be converted automatically from your account to the room, so there’s no need to worry that you won’t be able to make a deposit because the currency of your account is GBP. The current exchange rate is roughly $2 for every £1, so a deposit of $40 will take roughly £20 from your account.

Done!
After clicking ‘deposit’ you will have to wait a few seconds whilst the room processes your request.

If your deposit has been successful then you are now able to head over to the real cash tables and start winning some money. So good luck!
